Reiki Level 1 Reflections

A couple of weeks ago, I taught a Reiki Level 1 class.

I don’t always know how to explain what happens in those kinds of spaces, but something about this one has stayed with me.

There’s this moment in Level 1 where people start to realize they don’t need to “do” energy work so much as listen to themselves. Slow down enough to notice what’s already there. Trust what they feel instead of questioning it.

It’s simple, but also not always easy.

A lot of what I saw that day wasn’t people learning something new — it was more like remembering something they already knew, but had gotten a little quiet over time.

Their hands. Their breath. Their intuition. Their ability to be present with themselves and tune in.

I left feeling really grateful to be in rooms like that.

Spaces where nothing is being optimized or rushed, just experienced.

And I think I’ve been sitting with that ever since — how much healing, in any form, seems to come back to that same place of slowing down enough to actually feel what’s here.

I’m really looking forward to offering more Reiki Level 1 classes, and also opening up a Level 2 soon.

If you feel called to be part of the next one, feel free to email me — I’d love to hear from you.

If Reiki is something you’re curious about but not ready to study yet, I also offer Reiki sessions and Reiki add-ons within my bodywork sessions. It’s a really beautiful way to experience it in a supported, grounded way.
